Helmet is an American alternative metal band from New York City, formed in 1989. Known for their innovative sound blending metal, punk, and noise rock, their albums include Meantime (1992), Betty (1994), Aftertaste (1997), Dead to the World (2016) and Left (2023). Their latest album, Left, was released in 2023. Helmet has performed at major festivals such as Lollapalooza and supported acts like Nine Inch Nails and Faith No More on tour.
