Teenage Fanclub are the authentic sound of indie. Their jangly guitar sound would pre-empt the birth of Britpop and served as a template for the sound of the 90's and beyond.

The Glaswegian band was formed in 1989 by songwriter Norman Blake, and the original line up included band members Raymond McGinley (vocals, lead guitar) and Gerard Love (vocals, bass). Together, they quickly rose to prominence as part of the C86 scene, and released seminal debut record A Catholic Education. They then signed to iconic indie label Creation Records before moving into their golden period, which saw the release of albums The King, Bandwagonesque, Thirteen, Grand Prix and Songs from Northern Britain - their highest charting record to date which include hit single "Ain't That Enough".

Their enduring appeal has continued to grow since the turn of the millennium, seeing the release of a further five Top-40 albums including Endless Arcade which dropped in 2021.
