The Mountain Goats are veterans of the indie folk / indie rock scene. Formed in 1991, The Mountain Goats is centred around songwriter John Darnielle who was the sole member for many years. The band now also consists of Peter Hughes (bass), Jon Wurster (drums) and Matt Douglas (multi-instrumentalist).
Their extensive back catalogue has seen the release of 22 studio albums, including the latest title Jenny from Thebes which dropped in 2023.
